Outreach

The robot retires every season. The community work doesn't.

Our goal is to spread STEM throughout our community and beyond, making it accessible to all — through events, classes, and open resources.

LEGO Robotics Classes

Our biggest program: a self-designed curriculum that has taught robotics to over 70 kids in grades 3–7, built from our own years in FIRST LEGO League and taught entirely by team members. Class fees also help fund the team — so every signup does double duty.

Curriculum for RISE School, India

We're designing a robotics curriculum for the RISE School in India — taking what works in our local classes and adapting it for students who don't have a robotics team down the street.

Open engineering

We're part of the FTC Open Alliance, which means we share our build season as it happens: public CAD, public code, engineering portfolios, and newsletters other teams can learn from. Our software library, SolversLib, is used by FTC teams worldwide.

Why it matters to us

We were the kids in the class once

This team grew out of FIRST LEGO League. The students teaching our classes learned the same way a few years earlier — which is exactly why the curriculum works. Outreach isn't a checkbox for an award; it's our own story, running in reverse.

Recognition

  • Inspire Award 2nd Place FIRST World Championship, Lovelace Division — FTC's top award, judging outreach and engineering together.
  • Sustain Award 1st Capek Super Qualifier — for community impact built to last, not one-off events.
  • Motivate Award Recognized for STEM advocacy since our rookie season.

Want a class for your kid — or your school?

Our LEGO robotics classes are how most families meet us. We also work with schools, libraries, and other teams — if you have something in mind, email team@seattlesolvers.com.
